Welcome to the 2023 AST Wheel Design Competition!
As the world’s premier manufacturer of forged wheel blanks, we have a deep respect for the talent, skills and creativity it takes for you to design rolling works of art. And now it’s time for you to reap some well-deserved recognition. Here’s how the competition works:
For each entry, complete and submit the form below. There is no cost for your entries, but you are limited to a maximum of ten wheels. Multiple employees from the same wheel manufacturer can each submit up to ten entries. The cutoff date for entries is midnight Oct. 7th.

Entries will be judged by a panel of automotive industry experts, using the following criteria:
• Design Originality. How fresh is it?
• Aesthetics. How appealing will its design be to the intended market?
• Marketable Value. How strong is its potential to be a best seller or halo piece for the brand?
10 finalists will be selected by the judging panel. These finalists will then be promoted via Facebook ads targeting automotive enthusiasts. Each entry will include an image, the wheel model name, and the brand name. Viewers will be prompted to participate in the judging by “Liking” their favorites.
The ads will run until midnight on Oct. 21st. The total “likes” will then be tabulated. Winners will be announced via Facebook and Instagram the week of SEMA (Oct. 31st – Nov. 3rd). In addition to all the free promoted exposure your wheels will receive, winners will be awarded the following prizes:
• First Place: $1000 credit toward the AST wheel blanks of your choice
• Second Place: $500 credit toward the AST wheel blanks of your choice
• Third Place: $250 credit toward the AST wheel blanks of your choice
Wheels designed for cars, trucks, dragsters, motorcycles — any transportation vehicle — are all acceptable, as long as they meet the following requirements:
• You must be employed by the company that owns the submitted wheel design.
• The wheel was designed no earlier than January 1, 2022
